. This is a 40 hour per week M-F position. May require evening or weekend work in response to needs of the system. Applicant must be dependable, responsible, and professional. Must be able to communicate in a professional manner, handle confidential information, and work alone and in a team setting. Responsibilities include managing existing LAN/WAN, supporting servers, maintaining networked computers, and other hardware to ensure network availability and optimal functionality. Other roles include providing support for third party interfaces, ensuring network security, and managing firewalls. Must be able to troubleshoot networks, systems, applications, and investigate user problems and determine resolutions to provide optimal performance. Must be able to recognize long-term needs for information services, plan strategy for developing systems and acquiring hardware to meet those needs. Must keep current with new hardware/software products for system enhancement.
